Bright flashes of blue would stop me in my tracks on my daily dog walks in the woods. I discovered beautiful splashes of colour even on a wet, boggy path with pops of orange leaves and puddles which were catching the light.
Painted with repeated washes and glazes of colour this painting reveals beautiful subtleties when viewed up close.
This piece was painted as part of a larger series inspired by woodland walks as spring birdsong was beginning to awaken new life.
