Blow Me Along, Hold Me Still

£550.00
Sold Out

Blow Me Along, Hold Me Still is an invitation to a partnership of inspiration and intimacy. A time to move into something new or rest and recuperate. There are deep greens, turquoise and flashes of yellow green and pale yellow.

This painting is part of a mini series that could collectively be called "Where We Meet".

My camera and sketchbook took me on an exploratory journey to a large pond not far from me. Nature had been allowed to re-wild what was previously quite an ornamental pond but which had now become increasingly overgrown.

The vertical ribbons of tall reeds and their reflections are interrupted by the horizontal leaf. This painting has a feeling of spaciousness where we can gently land.
