Inspired by the Dorset Coast,“Smooth Stones “ was painted after time spent at Kimmeridge Bay, where exposed limestone ledges, fossil-rich clay beds, and crystal-clear waters reveal a quiet world of marine life and gentle shoals of fish gliding over the smooth stones. Created during my recovery from a broken wrist, this piece became a quiet reminder that smooth stones are shaped by rough waters, inviting a sense of calm, resilience and reflection.
